Dear Bell Families, 


Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open. District-wide the registration window has moved up. All 6th and 7th grade families need to submit an updated registration form ASAP. This will help us determine the number of students to expect for the 2024-2025 school year. 

Before your student can get their student schedule for next year, the updated enrollment form and proof of address will be required.

You can also print and drop it off at the front office during office hours.

If your student is currently a 6th or 7th grader at Bell, you must submit:

If your student is a current 5th grader and will be entering Bell Middle from one of our feeder schools, you must submit:

If your student is attending Bell via the CHOICE application process, you must submit:

All 8th grade families will have to submit a new registration form to Morse High School.


 

 ***Students who are coming from a feeder school and have a Inter-District Permit need to reapply for a new permit before the start of the school year.

If my child attends a feeder school, is my child automatically enrolled at Bell? 

Yes, all 7 elementary feeder schools are automatically enrolled at Bell.  If your student is attending your elementary school on an Inter-district Permit, they will need to reapply for the secondary level. They will need to complete the application with their residence school district. They will be asked for a current proof of address when we pass out the update packets for our feeders and return students in August. Our feeder schools are Perry, Penn, Paradise Hills, Pacific View, Boone, Zamorano, and Freese.

When do I register my child at Bell?/When does registration begin? 

If your child is coming from a feeder school, No need to register, they are in our system already.  But, Ms. Dean will send out information pertaining to this later.  The most important thing you can help us with is to make sure all student have the correct address, phone number and email address in the system.  This way they will receive all the information for orientation and correspondence from Bell to start the new year. If your student is new to our neighborhood or district, please contact Ms. Cathy Dean for more informaiton.

7th Grade Immunization Message to Families
 
Greeting’s 7th Grade Bell Families,
All 7th graders are required by law to have certain immunizations before the start of 7th grade. You should have received information regarding this mandate in the past few months. Your 7th grader will not be able to attend school until they have all their immunizations. Please email our school nurse, Nicole Stella, at [email protected] if you have questions. She will return to work Wednesday, August 24th, 2022, but can communicate via email this week. Please email copies of the immunization to [email protected].

Important Dates

 

Please be sure you use the following documents/forms for the enrollment:

1. Verification of residency

 

Proof of Residency: Every year we are required to have current proof of residency on file for every student, new and continuing. This may be in the form of a current utility bill, mortgage statement, or rental contract and receipt. Contact the registrar at 619.498.6012 for more information.

NOTE:  Driver’s license and/or bank account documents are not valid for proof of residency.

If you are living with somebody else and you do not have anything under your name, you will need to bring a utility bill under that person’s name and you will need to fill out the declaration of residency document contained in this packet.

If you live outside of the Bell Middle School area, please visit the District's website for Choice Enrollment Options.

2. Health Records

 

a)  Complete immunization records, including month and year of all inoculations [Polio (TOPV), DPT and/or TD, MMR (2 doses), Hepatitis B (3 doses—this is for 7th graders only)]

NOTE:  STUDENTS CANNOT BE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL UNTIL PROOF OF ALL REQUIRED IMMUNIZATIONS ARE PROVIDED.  If written proof is unavailable, you may acquire the necessary immunizations at Bell Middle School, provided a permission form is signed by the parent.

b)  Health data signed by a physician, notifying the school of any special health condition, which will require special attention at school, such as physical education exemptions, medicine to be given at school or any class activity restrictions

3. Report Card, Progress report, Transcript, withdrawal form

 

a)  For beginning of the school year pre-enrollment, parent/guardian MUST present the last grade report card/progress report.

b)  Students enrolling after the first week of the school year MUST present an official withdrawal form from the previous school and a report card.  Students without this form will be directed back to the previous school to obtain.

4. Enrolling from different district or country

 

A birth certificate, passport to provide proof of age is required.  (A military ID is acceptable.)

5. Custodial documents and/or special attendance permit if needed.

 

a)  If the student is living with someone other than the natural parent or step-parent, proof is required of legal guardianship or foster parent custody.

b)  A student not living with his or her parent, legal guardian or other person having legal responsibility, shall be required to complete a custodial document and submit the document with enrollment documents.

Falsification of any information or documents, either written or verbal, relative to this verification procedure, will result in revocation of enrollment for the student at Bell Middle School.
