Cesar Chavez Service Learning Club
Description: The Cesar Chavez Club is a Service Learning after school club. The main purpose for this club is to motivate and engage middle school students to develop more awareness of the world around them and shape their values about the community based on the 10 Core Values of the great community and social activist Cesar E. Chavez.
This club is open to all the students that are willing to make the commitment to honor these values. Among the activities that the students will participate during the school year are:
- Recruitment Process
- Board election (Officers; President, Vicepresident, Secretary, Treasurer, etc)
- Regular club meetings (Every Monday after school in room 211 from 2:30-3:30 and Wednesdays at lunch !0:45 am)
- Community service activities (beach/canyon clean-ups, feed the homeless, collaboration with other clubs, conferences, etc) Usually on Wednesdays (minimum days) or Saturdays.
- Fundraising activities
- Field trips
- End of year Recognition and Celebration
